On March 11, 2023, I completed my first sprint triathlon on the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii. This is how it happened.

I’ve found, through many years of mostly error and a bit of trial, that moving my energy is what heals me. Resting will come naturally, as it needs to. My job, especially when I am lethargic and feeling sorry for myself, is to find a way to move. The more I move, the more I want to move. It is the best kind of rabbit hole, and the further I journey into it, the more I realize that anything is possible. We can do, and be, much more than we allow ourselves to believe.
